ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Who are you?


You have at least:

  • An MBO level 4 degree in business administration.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an administrator.

  • Experience with accounting software Exact Online.

  • Preferably experience in project budgeting.


You are a communicative person who works with precision. You feel comfortable in a small team where you can rely on and trust each other. You don't get stressed during production peaks and

last-minute changes. You leave nothing to chance, anticipate possible issues, and always maintain an overview. Due to the small size of the organization, you also have the opportunity to broaden your role beyond administrative tasks. Ideally, you reside in (the immediate vicinity of) Amsterdam.

Happy Group is a leading company in the entertainment industry. An event organization, with Happy Feelings being the most well-known concept, bringing smiles to the faces of over 100,000 visitors annually. We organize over 200 events and around 10 major festivals per year in the Netherlands, as well as in London, Antwerp, and Barcelona. The company has two directors/owners and a team of permanent employees. The atmosphere is young and dynamic, open and direct, and people work hard with great commitment. We are located in Amsterdam East, just a ten-minute bike ride from Amsterdam Central.


What does your role entail?

As a financial administrative employee, you will be responsible for all administrative tasks within Happy Group. Specifically, this includes:

  • Verifying incoming invoices (accounts payable management).

  • Booking invoices in the correct project budget.

  • Approving invoices for payment.

  • Creating and sending sales invoices.

  • Checking if sales invoices are (timely) paid (accounts receivable management).

  • Generating management reports (based on KPIs).

  • Verifying payment lists.

  • Uploading SEPA files to the bank for payment.

  • Processing (small) manual payments.

  • Managing expense claims (receipts and invoices).

  • Downloading and uploading monthly (ongoing) invoices into the accounting software.

  • Searching for missing invoices/receipts once per quarter.


We offer a full-time position, where you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the broader team at Happy Group. As a financial administrative employee, you will report to the director, who has a background in business economics.
